Sorcery is the first known magic of Markazevren. It arose naturally because every living being already possesses emotion, the raw condition from which Sorcery draws its power.
02 / Canonical record
Principles, practice & consequences.
Scope
Sorcery is personal and bodily. It does not directly control objects outside the caster; it amplifies or diminishes the capacities of the caster's own body.
Speed and reaction time
Strength and endurance
Resilience and pain tolerance
Perception
Emotional cost
Power requires the sorcerer to enter an emotion more deeply. Repeatedly inhabiting fear, anger, grief, desire or another extreme state gradually alters personality, judgment, relationships and identity.
Physical cost
Sorcery behaves like an extreme adrenaline response. It grants extraordinary short-term performance by burning bodily reserves, leaving exhaustion, collapse, depletion or injury in proportion to the power used.

Further into Sorcery.
Casting
Once the necessary emotional state is reached, the associated power can be used repeatedly with effectively no casting time.
Collective Sorcery
Sorcerers may operate in emotional units whose members reinforce one another. The increase in power comes with the risk of emotional contagion, collective escalation and loss of individual balance.
