What is
Illusionism?

Illusionism emerged from interaction between the Celestial Domain and the Penumbrae after the Great Rivalry made Penumbral power perceptible to the races of the Cube.

Principles,
practice
& consequences.

Before discovery

The Penumbrae permeated existence long before the races knew they were there. Conflict between the manifested Potencies and the Penumbrae finally exposed their relational power.

First rooted

Continued contact with those newly visible relationships led naturally to Illusionism on Bilavust. Its discovery ended the Age of Rivalry and opened the Age of Vision.

03 / The discipline in depth

Further into
Illusionism.

Discovery is not dominance

The Age of Vision was driven primarily by a renaissance of Wizardry. Illusionism remained obscure—especially on Urmatoth—and was still unknown across much of the Cube during the following age.

The unfinished record

The detailed techniques, costs and operational limits of Illusionism remain open canon. The archive records its metaphysical source and historical position without inventing a finished practice.
